StoryQuest Tales - The Competition

StoryQuest Tales Winner Announced!
We are very pleased to announce that Josh Rodell is the winner of the StoryQuest Tales Competition. ’The Giant Book Glue Quest’, based on many of the StoryQuest characters, is an imaginative tale about a group of friends who have come ’unstuck’ from their book and are searching for a glue factory.

Runners Up Announced
It was a very hard to decide the prize winners as all the stories were so imaginative and entertaining. We are very pleased to announce the following prizes.

Second place - ’Words of Silver’ by Sam Parker. Based on the ‘pirate’ character. Read the story.
Third place - ’Miss Crabapple’s Revolutionary Solution’ by Jack Farrar. Based on the ‘unicyclist’ character. Read the story.

All shortlisted entrants have been contacted in person. If you haven’t heard from us, we’re afraid you haven’t been successful but you will be receiving a certificate in the post in the New Year. Everyone who sent us a story deserves CONGRATULATIONS as the standard of entrance was very good. Keep writing!

Competition Details
Who entered? Children between the ages of 10 and 14.
What were the stories about? Every story was written about one or more of the StoryQuest Tales characters that were created by Quentin Blake.

The Prizes
An extract from the winning story will be read out by Michael Morpurgo on Radio 4’s Today programme and the winner will receive a signed copy of the Quentin Blake illustration of the chosen character.
