StoryQuest
kicked off today at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in
Belfast. Over 500 children from the Bangor Grammar School,
Killicomaine Junior School Portadown, Wellington College Belfast,
St Olcan's High School Randalstown, New Bridge Integrated
College Loughbrickland, Newry High School and St Joseph's
High School Omagh came and really had a ball. It was the best
start to the festival we could have hoped for.
"First days, first times are
always extremely exciting, just like the first kiss."
Kevin Crossley-Holland
"Everyone knows how to tell
a story, everyone knows how to write a story, this is the
point of Arts & Kids StoryQuest - for all of us here to
think hang on I can do this stuff."
Michael Morpurgo
"Writing a story is an
amazing thing to do - we can all do it, take a blank piece
of paper, a pencil, sit down and have some fun."
Michael Morpurgo
